BLUE AREA

What conditions must be met to obtain the reduced rate card?

The resident’s badge is received by all vehicle owners who pay the traffic tax in Vilanova i la Geltrú and who are up to date with the payment of debts with the Vilanova i la Geltrú Town Council.

What documentation must be provided?

  • DNI (Spanish ID No.), Passport or NIE (Foreign ID No.)
  • Driving licence
  • Vehicle registration documents

(If you do not have the final documentation, you must attach the provisional documentation from the Directorate-General for Traffic).

 

Vehicles registered in the name of a company which provides its services or with which it maintains a commercial contract for the provision of services if the applicant works on a freelance basis.

 

Documentation to provided:

 

  • DNI (Spanish ID No.), Passport or NIE (Foreign ID No.).
  • Driving licence.
  • Vehicle registration documents.
  • (If you do not have the final documentation, you must attach the provisional documentation from the Directorate-General for Traffic).
  • Current insurance policy that includes the person requesting it as the regular driver or first driver of the vehicle.

(If a company is registered as the regular driver or first driver, or no one is registered, a statement signed by the legal representative of the company which provides its services, in which the assignment of the vehicle to its person, must also be provided).

(If this policy does not include the period of validity or the end date has passed, the last bank receipt must also be provided).

Does the reduced rate card cost anything?

No.

Yes, it is entitled, if the vehicle owner pays the traffic tax in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

What are the payment hours in the blue areas?

CENTRE:

From Monday to Saturday: from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Sundays and holidays: free

 

PASSEIG MARÍTIM AND DIC DE PONENT:

From 1 May to 15 June:
Weekends and holidays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

 

From 16 June to 15 September:
Every day including holidays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

 

MERCAT DE MAR:

From 1 May to 15 September: every day from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

From 16 September to 30 April: weekdays from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

PASSEIG DE RIBES ROGES

From 1 May to 15 June:

How can I pay a fine at the parking meter?

You can pay in cash or by bank card, following the instructions on the parking meter.

How much time do I have to pay a fine at the parking meter?

The offender has one hour from the time the fine is issued.

Is the ticket valid for all blue areas?

No, each zone has its own rate.

RIBES ROGES GREEN AREA

What conditions must be met in order to obtain the Ribes Roges resident card?

Ribes Roges green zone residents:

 

  • Individuals registered with the town hall or who own homes on the streets included in the area described below.
  • Individuals or entities with registered offices or who own homes on the streets included in the area described below.
  • Individuals, entities or agencies that are operators of a duly regularised economic activity in the area described below.

 

Ribes Roges area residents: the last area defined as the Ribes Roges green zone, Passeig de Ribes Roges, Passeig de Salvador Espriu, Plaça d’Adarró, Rambla Lluís Companys, Carrer de la Boia, Carrer de l’Any dels Negats, Carrer de Pere Jacas, Carrer Meridional, Plaça Josep Tarradellas, Passeig del Carme, Rambla de Joan Baptista Pirelli, Plaça Mediterrània, Plaça dels Boleranys, Carrer de les Barques and Carrer de Ferrer i Vidal.

  • DNI (Spanish ID No.), Passport or NIE (Foreign ID No.).
  • Driving licence.
  • Vehicle registration documents.
  • Original and photocopy of the leasing, rental or hiring contract, or the original certificate from the leasing, rental or hiring company.

 

(In both cases, the duration of the contract, the registration number and the usual driver or first driver of the vehicle must be stated).

 

  • Not having any debt, whether derived from income from the public or private sector, pending with the Town Council.

If you are not the owner of the vehicle, what documentation must be provided?

  • Documentation described above.
  • Photocopy of owner’s ID .
  • Authorisation from the vehicle’s owner.
  • DNI ID no. of the person who collects the card.

Does the Ribes Roges reduced rate resident card cost anything?

No.

Can you have as many cards as there are vehicles in the family unit?

You can have as many cards as there are members of the family unit registered in the name of the owner or the person registered with the town hall at the address.

If the vehicle is for rental or is registered in the name of a company, is it entitled to the Ribes Roges reduced rate?

Yes, as long as it is justified by a company or vehicle insurance report that it is the usual driver.

Do you have to be the owner of the property or are you also entitled to the Ribes Roges resident card if you are on the Municipal Register?

By being registered with the Town Hall, the person already has the right to the green zone card.

If I don’t receive the current resident card by post, how can I get it?

Can I cancel a fine at the office?

Fines cannot be cancelled at the offices. An appeal has to be made to the Citizen Services Office of the Vilanova i la Geltrú Town Council if the fine has not been notified or to the office of the Barcelona Provincial Council if it has been notified.

How can I get a time bonus at the parking meter?

You must follow the instructions on each parking meter, payment can be made in cash or by bank card.

Can I use the bonus hours to park in the blue zone?

No. This product is only valid in the green zone of Ribes Roges.

BARRI DE MAR GREEN AREA

What conditions must be met in order to obtain the Barri de Mar resident card?

Being residents of the neighbourhood, with homes located in the area bounded by Rambla de la Pau, the train tracks and the Passeig Marítim who meet the criteria for obtaining the card during the summer season.

What documentation must be provided?

  • DNI (Spanish ID No.), Passport or NIE (Foreign ID No.).
  • Driving licence.
  • Vehicle registration documents.
  • Original and copy of the leasing, rental or hiring contract.

If I receive a fine, can I pay the cancellation?

This area is solely for Barri de Mar residents. It is not possible to cancel these fines.

 

You pay the fine with a 50% reduction within twenty calendar days from the notification date by the following means:

 

  • Accessing the website orgt.cat/pagarmultes to download the payment form.
  • By credit card by calling (+34) 93 202 98 05
  • By electronic signature via orgt.diba.cat
  • Through collaborating financial entities, with the document that you can personally request from any of the offices of the Tax Management Agency of the Barcelona Provincial Council (Organisme de Gestió Tributària de la Diputació). (You can consult the link at orgt.diba.cat).

What are the boundaries of and differences between the various green areas?

CAR PARKS

What are the maximum heights of the car parks?

There are indicators at each entrance to each car park.

 

The maximum height at the Charlie Rivel and Peixateria car parks is 2.10 m.

The maximum height at the Casernes car park is 2,40 m.

If I am a subscriber, will I be awarded a fixed parking space?

Users who hire a parking space do not have a fixed space.  What they have ensured is that they will have a parking space whenever they arrive at the car park.

What are the operating hours of the car parks?

They are open 24 hours, every day of the year.

Are the car parks guarded?

All car parks have security personnel and surveillance cameras.

How does the maximum daily rate work?

The maximum daily rate allows parking in the car park, without moving the vehicle within the car park, for 24 consecutive hours. In order to make the payment, you must go to the cash machine to pay for the ticket, which will apply the corresponding fee.

Can I use the Renfe car park?

This parking is reserved solely for Renfe subscribers.  To access this card, you must be a user of the monthly or quarterly subscription offered by Renfe-operated commuter trains.

Can I park the electric scooter at the cycle station?

Yes. Private electric scooters can also be parked.
